Always the artist, never the muse

The feeling of excitement when you create, capture, and even write something hits differently when you see others smile because of your creation.

The encouragement we receive will forever live in our hearts, but I do wonder what it feels like to meet an artist — an artist who will make me their muse of art.

I was born to be an artist, but I yearn to be a muse. I want to be the view, but maybe I’m just meant to be behind the camera taking the photo. I hope to be admired by people and to be someone’s source of inspiration, but I realized I am the reason for their creation.

I was never the artist because I made the ‘art’ happen.

But what does it feel like to be someone’s muse?

How does it feel to be the reason for inspiration?

Will I become someone’s muse?

Can an artist be someone’s art?

I sometimes long for something that maybe isn’t meant for me, or perhaps I just accepted my fate already.

Because a muse is not easy to find but, being an artist will always be my choice.
